DATING
One of my myscoop report in my candymag profile:
What's the best kind of first date for you?
~ seriously, both of us drinking beer, while having a good and sensible conversation from 9pm to 2am... and yes, despite drinking, he will still be able to bring me home without touching any part of my body, except my heart (oooh.too emo.) ~
…okay actually this already happened to me with my ‘summer boyfriend’. We had our first date at Dencio’s, ordered a bucket of sanmig and be surprised that it’s a bucket of 10 pala, not 6 (may promo sila). We didn’t get to consume all the beers, coz if we did, I don’t think that would be called a date at all… a drinking session maybe!
We ended up at around 1am (almost like my ideal 1st date huh?). But hell NO! He brought me home… HIS HOME, and yup, he did get to touch my whole body… unfortunately except my heart =/
Our relationship lasted for 2 weeks only, summer boyfriend nga!hehe!
READING
"Hikayatin mo lahat ng kakilala mo na magkaroon ng kahit isa man lang paboritong libro sa buhay nila. Dahil wala nang mas kawawa pa sa mga taong literado pero hindi nagbabasa." - Bob Ong
Ouch… tumama ng bonggang bongga sa ulo ko yun ah! Actually I am aware of this fact even before I saw this quote from Bob Ong. Kaso talagang ganon eh, I was born with no interest in reading, to think that I lived with books and bookshelves because my mom is a certified bookworm. Although I enjoy reading the newspaper, the editorial page most especially. I enjoy reading columns like Youngblood (in Phil.Daily Inquirer), or Chicken Soup books. In short, those books with a short narrative about their experiences, real experiences. I am after the lessons learned, the thoughts pondered. That’s just about it.
Kung fictional o/at nobela paguusapan, kahit Harry Potter pa yan, hai… promise, I tried... pero Harry Potter didn’t do me justice. I know that somehow I am gifted with the skill to write, I love writing actually. My mom is a journalist (in Manila Times) so I’m not surprised. Pero mananatili akong mahina sa mundo ng pagsusulat kung di ko tuturuan ang sarili ko magbasa. Gawd, it amaze me sometimes whenever I meet people who get so excited to read a certain book… ano bang nakaka-excite dun? TWILIGHT, nako, damang dama ko na ang pagtataka, I am thinking of opening a few pages, baka Edward Cullen can help me. Kailangan ko magbasa, yung walang pictures, yung medyo mahaba, samahan mo naren ng malalim na salita.
Kailangan na kailangan ko na magbasa… para di ako magmukhang kawawa.
REBONDING
It’s my first time to spend thousands for my hair. I decided to try rebonding as a solution to my perennial hair problem. No, my hair doesn’t look that bad, see I have a thick and wavy type of hair. Some like it coz my hair has a natural body, some envy my hair actually (mga baliw). The problem is I wasn’t able to visit the salon for treatment since this year kicked off, naging frizzy and dry tuloy… kaya hello rebond, now my hair looks thinner and softer. I didn’t regret spending so much for my hair (ipon ko yun gurl!) coz I believe this is ultimately our crowning glory. Your hair can make you the ugliest (but I’m not ugly, a little less pretty lang!=P) to the prettiest princess believe me!
To cite an example, when I got home from the salon I went to the sari-sari store along our street to buy some load. As I was walking my way home, someone on a bicycle asked my name because his friend asked him to. Sus, I just laughed and kept walking, he followed me, pero dedma paren!
See, I’ve been going to that sari-sari store since last year to buy load… but it seems like this is the very first time they saw me, haha!
